So any of you new seniors out there recommend the best medicare plan packages? I will joining the group next year!! Does fedex recommend any certain ones? Thanks
Jimmy Glenn Burk7/25/2015
In Tennessee I've talked several people who use Blue Cross Blue Shield/Tennessee($150-$165 per month) as their supplement. Some others have used Physicians Mutual which also was good For drugs some have used Silver Script and/Cigna($21 to $29 per month); I've got to sign up in about 9 months.
Debora Williams Waller7/25/2015
Perhaps this will also help. FedEx Benefits state that OneExchange can assist in an appropriate selection of medical, drug, dental & vision at no cost to us.
Jimmy Glenn Burk7/25/2015
I also have heard excellent feedback on OneExchange.
Jimmy Glenn Burk7/25/2015
Here are some numbers one retiree paid, in Tennessee for reference:
Medigap Plan F: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee $143.64/mo
Medicare Part D: Silverscript $21.80/mo
Dental: HumanaOne Preventive Plus PPO TN: $18.99/mo
Total monthly premiums: $184.43

United Health Care Insurance supplement
Roger Yannett Sr7/25/2015
I would also recommend OneExchange because of the health reimbursement account FEDEX sets up for you. They make it easier for you to get this money. It helps off set the premiums.

CA: Aug. 1 25 years ago: 1990Frederick W. Smith renewed his commitment for a National Football League expansion team and called on Memphis businesses Tuesday to "stand up and be counted." The problem could be that some old reliables aren't around any more. And some others are coming off tough years. The level of commitment Smith is looking for isn't anything like the $65 million a group of Memphians pledged in 1979 in an unsuccessful attempt to lure the Baltimore Colts. In the next few months, Smith and Mid-America Football president Pepper Rodgers merely want to get commitments for sky box rentals, modest financial support and some more names they can throw around in their sales pitch. But in the long run, broadening the base of corporate support beyond Federal Express will be crucial to Memphis's chance of landing a football team.

I know this isn't really relevant to this group, but if you believe at all in the sanctity of life and the barbarism of what this murderer has done, consider signing this official government petition to see Cecil the Lion's killer extradited to Zimbabwe to face justice.

History tidbit:
Dr. Ponder was a Professor at Memphis State in the early 70's. His next door neighbor was a FedEx pilot who wanted to introduce him to Fred Smith & Charlie Brandon. When they found out that he had a PhD in Operations Research, they hired him as a consultant to solve their problem of maintaining and scheduling the growing Falcon fleet. A Pilot educated him on all aspects of maintenance for jets. The scheduling was done on lots of butcher block paper at the time.
Ron absorbed the info and with his graduate student, Joe Hinson, they developed a computer scheduling model called Engine to schedule the aircraft.
Later, they were both hired into FedEx to begin their careers and develop and Ops Research department for the company.

Question:Has anyone ever received a Reimbursement/Subrogation Agreement from Vengroff, Williams & Assoc. with the FedEx emblem on it. Letter states that the client is the federal Express Corporation Group Health Plan saying it is asked to review medical claims that might be the result of an accident. It has a form and a subrogation agreement to sign,,, but nothing in the letter defining anything about what injury it is talking about.just checking, don't trust these things....thx...Jimmy
