FedEx Trivia HistoryIn the early and mid 80's FedEx had seasoned & experience field, operations, field, and customer service personnel. Then over the course of a few years, that personnel expertise decreased to a very low level in many departments. What was the reason(s) for the decrease in talent?
Gary Phillips6/17/2016
Drugs?
Clayton Roderick6/17/2016
FedUp ?
Debora Williams Waller6/17/2016
I didn't see or experience this. Everyone I worked with was working very hard trying to keep up with the fast growing company.
Don Rose6/17/2016
Other companies hiring our talent.
Deby Abbott Jolley6/17/2016
Outsourcing?
Peter Dangerfield6/17/2016
Outsourcing
Gary Phillips6/17/2016
I know it increased in the areas I worked in of course
Gary Phillips6/17/2016
.com companies possibly.
Jimmy Glenn Burk6/17/2016
Reasons: When Zapmail was hiring there were many promotion opportunities in that group; hundreds took new positions leaving a gap in some areas. When International expanded the same thing happened. Some of the most experienced went to International leaving some knowledge gaps in many departments.
Debora Williams Waller6/17/2016
Same thing happened when FedEx Services stood up. Express lost a lot of IT related experience (requirements writing, test scripts, testing, post load support) and that large work load fell on those of us who stayed in Express.
